Tuesday shortlist: Regency nights, Sequiota bats, and a farmstead Saturday
Born of Osiris Wednesday and Twin Temple Thursday at Regency Live, bat flights Friday at Sequiota, 1860s Lifestyles Expo Saturday at Gray/Campbell.

Tuesday, September 15
Black Flag’s tonight if you’re already headed downtown — this shortlist looks past that. Two very different Regency nights midweek, twilight bats at Sequiota on Friday, and a farmstead Saturday that pairs nicely with Cider Days already on Walnut.
Born of Osiris at Regency Live
Wednesday, September 16 · Doors 6:30pm · Show 7:30pm
The Regency Live · 307 Park Central East · All ages · Standing-room · With Glass Lotus (Local) and Slanted Sun (Local)
Loud metalcore downtown — local openers, standing room, no soft landing.
Best for: loud standing-room metalcore downtown.
Twin Temple at Regency Live
Thursday, September 17 · Doors 7pm · Show 8pm
The Regency Live · 307 Park Central East · All ages · With Meldamor
Theatrical doo-wop/rock with occult flair — a weird night out, not a metal show. Same room as Wednesday, completely different energy.
Best for: anyone who wants a theatrical, slightly strange downtown night instead of another loud set.
Skip if you’re only in for metalcore — this is a different lane.
Bat Flights at Sequiota
Friday, September 18 · 7:00pm · Free · All ages · No registration
Sequiota Park cave entrance · 3500 S. Lone Pine Ave.
Friday’s return — a chance to watch the twilight flight if the weather and bats cooperate. Bring a light jacket and a little patience; it’s park-board free and easy, not a timed spectacle. Questions: 417-833-8647.
Best for: families and anyone who wants a free, low-commitment Friday outdoors south of town.
Skip if you need a guaranteed show — it’s weather- and bat-dependent.
1860s Lifestyles Expo
Saturday, September 19 · 10am–4pm
Gray/Campbell Farmstead, Nathanael Greene Park · 2400 S. Scenic Ave.
Costume parade at 11am; pie contest at noon (slices sold after). Same weekend as Cider Days on Walnut — easy to do farmstead in the morning and downtown cider later if you’re stacking the day.
Best for: a hands-on historic morning at the farmstead, especially with kids or out-of-town guests.
